explanation needed

if i want to ask "what do you do in your life?" would it be correct "hayatta ne yapıyorsun?"

from my opinion ur example was much of general. but usually if people ask what r u? what do u do? it would be like "ne iş yapıyorsun?" (refereing to the person's profession, job, etc)

İ guess it would be ,

Hayatında ne yapıyorsun ?
HayatINda means...in YOUR life

And i agree too its a very general question,even in English,i don't get exactly what you are asking about .
İs it refereing to ask about what job,or which school or things like that ?

now i understood myself in english it was supposed to be 'what do you do?' taht means it's supposed to be "ne iş yapıyorsun?". thank you both.
