İlkbahar geldiğinde, delikanlı o güne kadar hep buğulu bir cam arkasından görebildiği küçük arkadaşıyla sohbet etme imkânı buldu. Artık havalar ısındığı için pencereler açılmış ve evler çiçek kokusuyla dolmuştu. Anlattığına göre, küçük çocuk annesiyle birlikte yaşıyordu. Babasının ise Almanya’da çalıştığı ve bir gün mutlaka döneceği söyleniyordu. Delikanlı, yaklaşan bayram için çocuğa bir hediye vermek istediğinde, ona hangi tür ayakkabılardan hoşlandığını sordu. Çocuk, böyle bir hediye beklemiyordu

When spring arrived, the young man found an opportunity to speak with his young friend, whom till that day he saw only behind a foggy window. Since the weather has warmed up, the windows were opened and the houses were filled with flower scents. According to what he had said, the little boy was living with his mother. As for his father, he's said that he'd been working in Germany and would undoubtedly come back one day. The young man, wanting to give the child a gift for the upcomimg holiday, asked him what kind of shoes he liked. The child wasn't expecting that kind of a gift.
