I need everyones help!
I'm planning a massive trip around the world for at least a few years. I have a few places in mind already, Turkey of course being one of them.
so has anyone got any places they have in mind that they think is great to visit (even in Turkey)?
Please can you say what you liked about the place and in which country it is, and if possible a site that I could look at for more information.
Thanks for all your help in advance

Oh Thailand springs to mind. My sister has been, and several of my friends have been there too.... one of my friends, he went out there for 6 months and is still there .... that was 3 years ago.... he loved it so much he did not come home. Everyone I know who has been there loves it so much and has gone back. It sure is an eye-opener!

Kai,
You will be living my dream! I wish I could travel the world! Since you're going all around, I can give you recommendations on the few places I've been and fallen in love with
Turkey is my #1- particularly Fethiye and Dalyan, a little touristy but cozy, on the sea, and lovely.
#2 Ghana, West Africa- particularly Cape Coast and Kumasi. The friendliest people I have ever met in my entire life! Amazing markets, life and joy! The power of women in this country is so inspiring! They run the markets, households, and even have a higher graduation rate than men from high school, and a bonus- English is the national language, although- from what I've read, I don't think language will be an issue for you
#3 Brazov, Romania, quiet sleepy mountain town- gorgeous, a step back a few hundred years. Pure simplicity
#4 Chennai, India- culture! Hinduism and Christianity blend, amazing temples, and an hour south- very nice beaches (althogh I hear Kerala- outside of the rainy season - June July August- surpasses this in terms of pristine beaches and landscape- interestingly Kerala is a communist state in India's great democracy that is flourishing!
#5- If you pass through the Caribbean, Puerto Rico- south and west (Boqueron on West) gorgeous, and particularly amazing at Easter time.
#6- Spain- particularly Asturias. I spent a summer there 5 years ago, and the history is amazing as well as the food and friendliness of people. I was near the Portugal border, so we spent a few weeks there, and I loved Portugal more than Spain. Much more rural (except for Lisbon- which was amazing) and slow paced.
I have fallen in love with almost every place I've been. I almost forgot to mention Oxford, England- a different kind of paradise. Heaths, clotted cream with everything, and cozy pubs amidst the most amazing architecture you ever seen!
As you can see, I'm not much of a big city person. These are more take in the scenery and slow pace of life places. I don't know what you're looking for, but these are my favorites
