I need help with a single sentence of an excercise I'm doing set by a turkish friend. Well to be quite frank, I think it's just one word I'm having problems with:

"Evinde sadece bir oda var"

I get the idea of the meaning of this to be "His home is solely empty" or "The home."

The word Evinde though... I know ev and the -de suffix, but the evINde part of it is confusing me a lot. -in I thought to mean "your" but I don't see how that'd make sense in this context, and I also thought that suffix was put on the absolute end of a word, so it'd be "evdeyin?"

Apologies for my rambling on, any help with this would be MUCH appreciated!

i think it says there is just one room in your house?

it may have different meanings..

Evinde sadece bir oda var

- there is only one room in your/his/her house..

if the teller means "you", then -in has a meaning of "your"..
evin = your house
evinde = in your house

but when it comes to his/her, its a bit different..
his/her house = evi
in his/her house = evinde
but here the "n" is just connecting the two suffixes.. it happens sometimes

house- his/her- connecting "n"- in
