Byzantine Fortress
Byzantine Fortress
This fortress is sometimes known as "Genoese Castle" since it was controlled by them from the mid-fourteenth century, but approaching from above you'll see various Greek inscriptions and even the imperial logo of the Paleologus dynasty, as a clear evidence that it was in fact Byzantine in origin.
