Topkapi Palace - Water Basin
Topkapi Palace - Water Basin
During four centuries the centre of power of the Ottoman empire was at the Topkapi palace. Built in the 16th century after the conquest of Constantinople by Sultan Mehmed II, the palace served as the residence for both the sultans and the religious leaders of the empire. The best part of the palace is the Sultan's Quarters, where one can see this amazing water basin.
