Hoca Isa Acar is the respected imam of the Old Mosque. He is an accomplished ´Qaree´ [Cantor of the Koran], a remarkably affable person, and a devoted bee keeper. His apiary produces wild honey from nectar gathered by bees from a variety of local flora.

He can converse with me in Arabic [and a little English]. We often sit and chat away in the lovely and serene courtyard of the camii. In the event I have managed to pick up much Turkish from him. His ability to communicate in ´Osmanli Turkish´ is very helpful as my mother tongue is Urdu, and I also have working knowledge of Farsi. (Location: Yesilbayir [Antalya])
