Selime
The huge and sprawling Selime Rock Monastery in Göreme, Turkey, was carved out the rock by Christian monks in the 13th century. A steep climb is the only way to access it. Apart from the church, monastery has monks quarters, kitchen, stables for animals, even pidgeon house!
