Making sense?

I had an initial meeting with my Turkish Tutor a couple of days ago...we were going through telephone conversations but when I translate this particular sentence it just looks odd!
Sinan ile konuşmak ederim. (I want to talk to sinan)
But it reads "sinan with to talk i do". Is this normal word order? I know sometimes you should not read it LITERAL and perhaps it makes sense when spoken but to me it just looks so different!

Quoting MalatyaGirl: "sinan with to talk i do". Is this normal word order? |
Yes it is. The word order in TR is completely different than what we're used to. Search in this site for "word order" or "sentence order" and you will find a couple of interesting threads.
This page will give you more information as well:

No, itsnt normal word order. I am a Turk and i am living in Türkiye. And it doesnt make sense. Its soooo broken.
Are you sure that he/she is a Turkish tutor??*
Itsnt in a normal order and i cant make a normal sentence with that words.
Sinan ile konuşmak ederim >>>>
Sinan ile konuşurum. OR Sinan'la konuşurum.
I want to talk to Sinan >>> Sinan'la konuşmak istiyorum.
See you...

Thanks Elisa!
It's difficult to stop thinking in English! To me it sounds bizarre!
I have not spent long with my tutor yet. He gave me some sentences and phrases but has not explained yet how they are constructed!

Quoting Umut_Umut: No, itsnt normal word order. Its soooo broken. |
But you yourself, too, showed, as seen below, it is the normal word order.
Quoting Umut_Umut:
Sinan ile konuşmak ederim >>>>
Sinan ile konuşurum. OR Sinan'la konuşurum.
|
Sinan ile konuşmak ederim.
Sinan with to talk I do.
ile=with
konuşmak=to talk
ederim=I do.
Whether or not such a order in English makes any sense, is another matter.

Sinan'la konuşmak istiyorum
What does -'la translate as?
Does it not read as "Sinan with to talk I want" as does "Sinan ile konuşmak ederim"?
I find it confusing! lol.
