Thank you, but I don't think you are right. When he wrote the message it was 23.00 in Sivas.

He wrote mektubun geldi, su an sivas uc gidince okuyacagim. I thought myself he ment something like the letter is now in sivas it will be here in three days then I will read it.

Well, uc can be üç-->expressing the time, or can be uç(not clear but maybe)-->expressing a place or short form of any word starting with uc or uç or üç.
If he meant uç (which is not clear from the text, and my first guess was like Armegon's (üç ) ) it may be

I am at the border of Sivas city now. (or maybe outskirts of the city.) (Possibly going back to his army place from a duty.) I'll read it when I go.

Another guess, he maybe used the same phrase that we usually say in the army(Şafak üç(3 days to go to finish army-service ) ), meaning "3 days to go back to Sivas", guessing he is somewhere else at the moment and be back after 3 days.

Thank you very much! I am sorry but it still doesn't make any sense to me. He his doing his duty in Sirnak, his parents live in Sivas. It will take 3 months before he can go home. Maybe he meant that he will read the letter in 3 months when he is back in Sivas?

it is not clear and incomplete so trying to give a meaning is really nonsense.

This is the correct meaning.

Sivas üç means that he has 3 (days/weeks/months/years->this is not clear from the context but since you know that it is "months" you can say after/in 3 months) to go to Sivas.
And I suppose you posted the letter to his home address.

PS: Don't use this structure or phrase, it is common saying among soldiers not among common people.
