Hi,

I am going to meet my partner's family in Gazientep either April or May this year.

From what I can see when browsing the internet, it is a very lovely city.

I was just wondering if anyone had been to or is from the village?

Lol....I can believe that well, when Mustafa comes home, he is always in the kitchen cooking for me....He has shown me quite a few tasty bites.
Would they find it rude if you offer to cook in thier kitchen for them?
I made some Chicken Fajita's once and Mustafa said his Mam would love them, but the only opportunity I would get to cook them for her is when I am there. I would love to make her some to try.

No actually vice versa, they would feel honoured if you cook for them...

also ask for your partner to bring you one day to Sanliurfa the neighbour city, for Sira Gecesi... Its lovely!

What rest to do in Antep would be visiting some historical parts and visiting "hamam"(turkish bath) once.

Also dont miss Antakya (where i am now) its great to visit, its a very rich culture where jews, christians and muslims lived for ages...

Ahhh, that's great, I love to cook as I am a chef. If I can cook some food for his family and show them how I live, I would love that.

I will be looking forward to visitng all those places now.
I love historical buildings and learning the history.

I did have a turkish bath once, when I was on holiday in Antalya, I found it so relaxing and refreshing. I almost felt like a new person

Yes cooking is always a good idea,i have done it in the past for my fiances family and it seemed to go down well You will find that the Hamam you went to in Antalya was more than likely a tourist one and the actual 'real' ones which Turks go to are much more authentic and i found much better.

Beware, all young ladies !
Hamam is the ground for close inspection and examination of young ladies.
Every single detail is noted !
