Hi Umut,

Thanks for the corrections.

In English we often use ´they´ if we are not sure of the sex of a person.

(Instead of saying he or she, or writing he/she)

(Me): "A television reporter interviewed me today."

(A friend): "Why did they talk to you?"

We also use ´their´ if we are not certain whether to use his or her.

It is one of the unusual differences between Turkish and English.

Hi Umut,

Ah i didn´t know that. I thought people were more inclined to use "he /his" if they are not sure of the sex of a person. Thank you for that information.
