Turkey Visas for Travelers

6/20/2010

Visa Fees

American ordinary passport holders

You may obtain a 90 day multiple-entry visa from the port of entry in Turkey for $20. This must be paid in cash. Please note that you need to pay this money for each person traveling with you – children included – regardless of whether they are on your passport or not.

Alternatively, you can obtain a tourist visa before you travel from one of the five Turkish consulates in the United States though this obviously takes more time and money ($45). It is recommended that you apply at least one month before your time of travel.

British ordinary passport holders:

You can also get a 90 day multiple-entry tourist visa for £10 at the port of entry in Turkey. This must be paid in sterling, in cash and Scottish notes are not accepted. Should you wish to obtain this before you arrive in Turkey, you can get one from the Turkish Consulate in London but must pay £66.

British National Overseas, British Subject passport holders and British Protected Person passport holders need to contact the Turkish Consulate before travelling, as visas will not be granted at the port of entry.
