What Can You Bring to Turkey

If you have a house in Turkey, you might want to bring a few of your home comforts with you.  If you plan to live in Turkey for any length of time, perhaps you’ll want to take over your pet, your car and your valuables. Here we look at the restrictions and permissions involved in residing and bringing your personal items through customs in Turkey…

 

The first thing to stress when you move to Turkey or buy a house is that you need a residence visa if you plan to stay there for any length of time, over and above that allowed by your tourist visa. A residence permit can also allow you to take household and other items into Turkey that might otherwise not be allowed.
