Is bir indefinite article here? I have seen bir + ACC before but not this close to the governing verb.

I thought I was in good terms with the word order but it seems I still make some strange choices. Copy paste of my brain doesn´t seem to work.

Here is the formal word order (the queen is underlined part ) :

gittim - went I 

dün gittim - yesterday went I 

dün okula gittim - yesterday to the school went I 

dün okula yürüyerek gittim - yesterday to the school on foot went I 

You may want any word to be the queen:

okula yürüyerek dün gittim - to the school on foot yesterday went I 

But 

In long and complicated sentences, it is preferable to keep the formal word order..

You are not exactly from devrik cümle school, scalpel.

These problems in choosing the correct words are so upsetting. They can spoil a long-thought sentence and make it look like a joke. This proves how limited dictionaries are: I am using many of them at the same time and I´m probably not the most blue-eyed user but still it´s a mess sometimes. Maybe I should have read some motorists´ user manuals instead. Seriously.

What makes you think that devrik cümle school I am not from? I like the way Yoda (the jedi master) speak English: "go I will" I like devrik cümle in şiir:
