Herkese Merhaba,
Yunanistan´dayken birçok tarihi yer gördüm Ankara´dayken birçok yeri geziyorum
Why we use "yer" in the first example and "yeri" in the second one?

Both them can be used with or without -i (accusative case) suffix.
You know when there is accusative you are speaking of specific places and when threre is not, you speak generally.

Thank you very much.
There is however one thing I still don´t understand. In the second example, we are speaking generally, aren´t we? (When I am in Ankara, I visit many places, so no specific place)
If so, then why can we still use the accusative case?

In the second one (with the accusative suffx), I think the speaker is speaking of some known (specific) places in his/her mind.

Thank you very much, makes perfect sense!
