Herkese merhaba

Can anyone explain the difference between giriyor and geliyor, what is different in these two sentences.

Aşçı bugün restorana girmiyor

Today the Cook is not coming into the restaurant.

Aşçı bugün restorana gelmiyor.

Today the Cook is not coming in the restaurant.

Herkese merhaba

Can anyone explain the difference between giriyor and geliyor, what is different in these two sentences.

Aşçı bugün restorana girmiyor

Today the Cook is not coming into the restaurant.

Aşçı bugün restorana gelmiyor.

Today the Cook is not coming in the restaurant.

gelmek = to come

girmek = to enter or to come in

That said, the second sentence can be translated like this:

Aşçı bugün restorana gelmiyor. = The cook is not coming to the restaurant today.
