1- Negative Form of the Verbs
To make a verb negative, add –me suffix at the root of the verb. Surely, this suffix should be adapted to the verb by using vowel harmony.
For example; beklemek : to wait bekle-mek : to wait ! Here bekle is the root of the verb. bekle-me-mek : not to wait
oturmak : to sit otur-mak : to sit ! Here otur is the root of the verb. Otur-ma-mak : not to sit Here we used –ma instead of –me according to the vowel harmony.
Now look at the verbs below and try to write their negative form. bakmak / saklamak / gelmek / yenilmek / ölmek / üzülmek / bakınmak
