iç+me+- ----------------------------------->içme (don´t drink)

 

uyumak istiyorsan (if you want to sleep)

kahve içme (don´t drink coffee)

 

Uyumak istiyorsan kahve içme. (Don´t drink coffee if you want to sleep)

 

anlamak (to understand)

tekrar, yine, yeniden, gene (again)

anlatmak (to tell)

 

anla+ma+yor ise+n------>anlamıyor isen----------->anlamıyorsan (if you don´t understand (direct: if you aren´t understanding))

anlat+r+im------------------------------------------>anlatırım (i tell)

 

Anlamıyorsan tekrar anlatırım. (I tell again if you don´t understand)

okumak (to read)

alışkanlık (the habit)

 

oku+yor ise+k--------->okuyor isek---------------->okuyorsak (if we are reading)

alışkanlık+dir---------->alışkanlıktır

 

Her akşam kitap okuyorsak bu bir alışkanlıktır. (This is a habit if we are reading book in every evening.) ("-dir" was used here to express a general feature. In other words, it was used for generalization)

 

sevmek (to love)

kesinlikle, mutlaka (certainly)

söylemek (to say, to tell)

 

sev+yor ise+m----------->seviyor isem------------>seviyorsam (if i´m loving)

bu+i(accusative)-------->bunu

o+a(dative)-------------->ona (to him,her,it)

söyle+r+im--------------->söylerim (i say)

 

Seviyorsam bunu ona mutlaka söylerim. (I say this to her certainly if I am loving)

 

acele etmek (to hurry)

sebep, neden (the reason, the cause)

 

et+me+yor+lar ise------->etmiyorlar ise--->etmiyorlarsa (if they aren´t making)

bir sebebi var (it has a cause)

var+dır------------------>vardır

 

Acele etmiyorlarsa bir sebebi vardır. (1It has always a cause certainly if they are not hurrying. (if you use "-dir" for generalization, 2It may have a cause if they are not hurrying. (if you use "-dir" for guessing))

almak (1to take, 2to buy, 3..4...5.)

 

gerek+yor ise------->gerekiyor ise---------->gerekiyorsa (if it is needed)

Ne kadar gerekiyorsa al. (Take, how much it is being needed (direct: Take if how much is it being needed))

-Kaç tane istiyorsan yiyebilirsin. (You can eat how many you want to eat. (direct: You can eat if how many do you want))

Nere gidiyorsak seni de götürüyoruz. Memnun değil misin? (We are taking you wherever we are going. Aren´t you glad? (direct: We are taking you away if where are we going. ...)

araştırmak (to search, to research)

İnsanlar hangi dili öğreniyorlarsa onunla ilgili kaynaklar araştırır. (People research resources about whichever language they are learning (direct: people search resources about it if which language they are learning))

iyiye işaret olmak (to bode well (direct: to be sign to the good))

 

sınav+ı(accusative)------------------->sınavı

ertele+di+m--------------------------->erteledim (i delayed)

de+yor ise---------------------------->diyorsa (if he is saying)

iyi+e(dative)-------------------------->iyiye (to the good)

 

Hoca "Sınavı erteledim" diyorsa bence bu iyiye işaret değil. (It isn´t boding well in my opinion if the teacher says "I put the exam off" (direct: If the teacher is saying "I delayed the exam", in my opinion, this is not a sign to the good))

 

ne kadar (how much)

bilmek (to know)

o kadar (that much)

yapmak (to do)

 

bil+yor ise+k------------------>biliyorsak (if we know)

yap+ecek+iz------------------>yapacağız (we will do)

 

Ne kadar biliyorsak o kadar yapacağız. (We will do how much we know (direct: we will do if how much we know))
