gelmek (to come) geldirmek getirmek (to bring)
Mutfaktaki sandalyelerden birini getir. (Bring one of the chairs which are in the kitchen.)
gitmek (to go) gittirmek götürmek (to take sth. to, to take sth. away)
Dosyaları nereye götürdün? (Where did you take the files to?)
görmek (to see) gördürmek (this is used rarely. işini gördürmek : to make one´s work do to another person) göstermek (to show)
O fotoğrafları sana eve vardığımızda göstereceğim. (I will show you those photos when we arrive home.)
kalkmak (1to stand up, 2to get up) kalktırmak kaldırmak (1to lift, to lift up, 2to raise (transitive), 3to wake/get sb. up, 4to endure)
Ellerini kaldır! (Raise your hands!) Daha rahat geçebilmemiz için bu masayı buradan kaldırmamız gerek. (We need to lift this table up from here so that we can pass easier.) Seni yarın altı buçukta kaldırayım mı? (Shall I get you up at half past six tomorrow?) Babaannem bir ameliyat daha kaldıramaz. (My grandmother can´t endure an operation more.)
Some verbs have no nominative form. They are made causative from the reflexive mood.
yanmak (to burn (intransitive)) yandırmak : but you may sometimes see it in poems or stories. yakmak (to burn (transitive))
Eski kâğıtları yakacağım. Yoksa çöp kutusuna sığmayacaklar. (I will burn the old papers. Otherwise they won´t fit into the rubbish bin.)
öğrenmek (to learn) öğrendirmek öğretmek (to teach)
Bize çok şey öğrettin. (You taught us many things. (direct: You taught to us many things.))
ısınmak (to warm up (intransitive)) ısıtmak (to warm up (transitive))
Bu klima içeriyi iyi ısıtmıyor. (This air conditioner isn´t warming the inside up well.)
