What is the most fitting Turkish for > ´I would like to ...´ , instead of ´I will like to ... ´ > as in:-

´I would like to go to Istanbul´

´I would like to play´

´I would like to visit Topkapi´    etc.

 I would like= istiyorum

I would like to go to Istanbul´- Istanbul´a gitmek istiyorum (Istanbul to go I would like)

´I would like to play´- Oynamak istiyorum

I understood that ´istanbul´a gitmek istiyorum´ means ... ´I am liking [wishing] to go to Istanbul´ !!

But now I understand that there is no EXACT equivalent ... but -mek istiyorum´ conveys the sense.  This is not entiely surprising as each language has its own ´syntax, style and colloquilism´.  I wanted to make sure.
