yes. tipi is a kind of snow: the heavy sort.

But here it is tip, with a possessive ending i, i.e. tip-i

tip means type or kind of or sort

ısınma: heating

ısınma tipi: type of heating

yakıt: fuel

yakıt tipi: type of fuel

yapı: building

yapı tipi: type of building

etc

 Thank you both.

I gathered as much ´intuitively´ ... and being an absolute ´Dim Bulb´, I lament my ignorance not to have realised that the final ´i´ is a ´zamir´ and not part of the word itself.  Ne Yazik.   Live & Learn!!!

Thanks to you both again for pointing it out.   Tip(i) = its type .... easy when someone explains it.  Degil mi?

Marionin where have you been hiding?  No, that´s not fair.  Actually I haven´t been visiting the site because I have been away for ´Hacc´ ... You can now call me Haci Mumtaz! I am sure you´re ever present and just as popular.
