aşkım vs sevgilim

Selamlar herkese!
Can somebody please explain the difference between aşkım and sevgilim and give some examples when they can be used. Thanks in advance!

aşkım ,my love to mean morelike intimate,kind,sincere expression rather than darling while says you are my love ,sen benim aşkımsın so at aşkım has more than sincere expression for exapl aşkım ben seni her şeyden çok seviyorum ,so a love actually is your darling but every darling could not your love

I think askim is of Arabic origin
while sevgilim of Turkish origin

It is true, aşkim is of Arabic origin, عاشق but the difference is deeper than that. Aşik is more trancendental love. Some mystics call themselves Aşiks. With Westernization, it could be the words are loosing some of their deeper meaning, but if you read poetery, you will find that word used to express transendental love.
The famous and much loved poet, musician Aşik Veysel was an Aşik
Arabic also has other words for love....like hob...habibi... which is closer to the meaning of sevgilim

"Askim" when used as the translation of the English expression "my love" into Turkish and used as a form of adress is WRONG. That some people use it as such does not make it correct.
A man who says "askim" may be talking about his love for a pretty blonde, but not the blond herself.

Thank you everybody for your replies.
I guess I have to explain why I asked this question.
I know what these words mean and I´ve heard them used before, but I just don´t understand which one you use when talking to a family member and which one when you talk to your boy/girlfriend?
As far as I know aşkım can be used for both, but then what about sevgilim? Some people told me that aşkım can also be used to a dear friend and doesn´t necessarily imply romantic love. So I´m confused.

I use to say to my cat " aşkım benim" but i dont feel like calling her "sevgilim" ...
