Why?
We are not subject to your country's ridiculous REGIME and laws! Ataturk was a great leader sure, but was a human not a god! lol

He is dead - start being ruled by a LIVING politican instead of worshiping a dead one lol!!!

we are not worshipping to ataturk..we are showing our respect to him...we dont need your stupid opinions about my country and Ataturk...it is not your business..

Quoting Daydreamer:

I've always thought that I am a great enthusiast of Turkey. However, applying the criteria some people on this site use, I am in doubt because:

1. I didn't like the hammam experience but I loved using swimming pools
2. I hated kokoreç but I could kill for künefe
3. I consider Turkish males too pushy but I really like my friends who seem nothing like it
4. I don't consider Ataturk god and I do think everybody is free to speak their mind about him, yet, I understand how important he is to Turkey
5. I hate Ismail YK - both his songs and his looks, Tarkan but I love Yasar and many many more
6. I think it's better if Turkey stays secular
7. I think Turkish government is responsible for PKK, yet, I am against giving any part of Turkey to Kurdistan and I'm against PKK
8. I doubt the Armenian thing was genocide per se.

So..am I an enemy of Turkey or not acaba...

if u think that turkey is resposible for PKK;if u think taht armanian issue is genocide; if u say bad words for Ataturk;

u are enemy of Turkey..in addition these, u are my enemy...

Such great thoughts and observations... I have had this thought on my mind for a long time! So many educated Turks that I know are still VERY nationalistic, uncritical, and have very homogenous ideas about everything related to Turkey! No critical thought, no variations of the story... They all think the same!!!! It is very true that if the "educated" Turks are so brainwashed then there is no hope for a liberal democracy in Turkey.

good observations...and he described me with his article
Im happy to be like that..it is better than living under pressure of foreigneru want ppl that Turkish should serve uu cant tolerate educated Turks U cant tolerate uneducated turks as wellu want turkish man who got married with a foreign girl and live in her country

Im against terrorism canım. if this is racism, it s ok Im not attacking anyone, just cant accept to see ppl who have mostly negative thoughts about turkey. I have human-love inside like you, I cant be racist balım. you all work hard but I wont leave this site like others. Im sorry for this.

Ama canim... we are also against terrorism, absolutely! But I was saying that the Turkish government was the source of terrorism against Kurds ever since the start of the Republic, with a significant increase in the 90s (thanks to the help of the US).
I think you have to accept the fact that there are things many people will criticize about Turkey, do you respect their opinions? I think not... not yet at least. You don't like things that are happening in other countries as well, I'm sure you bash the US on a daily basis. Does it mean that we don't love Turkey or that we wouldn't want to visit or that there are not other things that we like? Of course not!

I strictly warn u by your words ''But I was saying that the Turkish government was the source of terrorism against Kurds ever since the start of the Republic''...u mean that things have happened during Ataturks's period..do u know what Turkish youth do for ppl who attack Ataturk?????

be carefull, before u talk about Ataturk!!!!
