i was thinking of starting to write a blog about girls who have/had turk bf´s or husbands. I wanted people to share about their stories, experiences, and advices, etc. but most important of all, i also wanted to start this because i also want people, specially women, to be aware of turkish men who con girls. As much as possible i wanted my blog to be non-biased as possible.

I did get a comment from one woman. She told me that she has been traveling to Turkey for 15 years, and that starting up a blog like this could backfire on me, because women who go to Turkey for sex, wouldn´t pay attention anyway.

She also said that if i also have a turk bf, and that if i really loved him, why would i even bother starting up a blog like this? and that if my bf agreed with me to do this, that he has no respect for his country at all... i don´t seem to understand though, why she would think that he has no respect for his country if he is allowing me to do this...

anyway.... i wanted your opinion. If i started out a blog about this, what would be the effects? And was she right about what she said? and that should i still pursue on doing this?

My thoughts of this: If you think it´s necessary or fun to write it, then don´t let someone stop you - especially not some woman who you don´t know and who only reacted to a question.

About the girls/women going for sex: they won´t read it I think, why should they? They are willing to pay for the ´business´. And most of the naive ones - who go unprepared, and fall for these gorgeous blue/brown/black eyes - might read it but they will not easily recognise themselves (not even after several requests for money for three shops, eight laptops/cell phones and five surgeries for family members).

I think you can respect a person, religion, country very much and still critizise it. Still point out the bad parts. I even think that if you do not critizise that you do not respect because then you don´t use the part what is meant for that: brains! So, in my view, your bf can still be a ´real, good´ Turk and critizise his country. BTW - he does not need to agree with you, does he? You are a grown-up woman who doesn´t need his permission I hope?

Why would you write a blog about Turkish men when there are so many wonderful things in this world to write about

 Do I sense disappointment?

There are lots of similar blogs out there but if you can bring a fresh perspective....go for it.  It doesn´t really matter what anyone else thinks....blogs are all about what you think.

I tried once, but it was so boring, just like reading about someones day to day activities.  As for writing a blog about Turkish men, I really don´t see the point and as Ae says, there are far more interesting things in the world than writing about men.

I really can´t see who it would help apart from you perhaps........................ people have to learn by their own mistakes.  I have never been a great one for listening to anyone, I have always preferred to make my own mind up and there must be plenty of women out there like me.
