Welcome back to the "Teenage Blog Site" Offfffffffff. 
Yes Kai, your way of writing the date IS the incorrect way. It is correct in USA, but not UK, and YES it does matter. If you fill in forms and official documents and get it wrong, it DOES. If you are given a date for an appointment such as 03/08 how will you know if its August or March? Your argument to your teacher was ridiculous - the reason that tragic day is called 9/11 is because that is the CORRECT way to write the date in the USA, which is where it happened.
Yes, it is good to respect other people's way of communicating, which is why it is helpful to try and write your English correctly so that non-native English speakers can read it more easily.
Maybe it would be an idea to learn your native language before embarking on a foreign one...

Err Hello if a form has DD/MM/YYY then thats the way i put it but I have also had forms I needed to put MM/DD/YYYY.
I know "my" language well thanks but it is how I choose to write in it. And as I also said it is the language is some parts of London, and NO it is not just teenagers that use it and it is not just british people who use it either. Like I said the guys I speak to also speak cockney.
The parts I love about those parts of London you can go into a small shop and they say "have a nice day" or "what u up to" just general chit chat, but in some places in the UK one of them i live in now (I am not naming which because not all are like it but majority are) just ask for money and u r off on ur way.
Talk about lack of communication!

OOOF I make a forum saying what this site has done for me and saying thank you and I get my head bitten off for the way I write it!

You completely missed the point (again)! Incidently my reference to "teenage blog" had nothing whatsoever to do with your speaking in slang. Anyway, congratulations in writing without slang - see you CAN do it when you try

Offffffff Kai, I was not commenting on your original post, but on your post "moaning" about the correctness of written English. You made a statement on the forum, and I disagreed and replied.
You are NOW talking about common courtesy and politeness in daily life which is a separate thing altogether from accents and slang.
Speaking with slang or an accent is great, but if you CAN write English well, don't you think it's considerate to do so on a website which caters for all nationalities?

just for the record,plenty of people understand abbreviations or internet slang such as 'neway,u(you),c(see)y(why) etc etc, just because we are from london or essex doesn't mean anything.it is not specific to essex.like aenigma noticed it is more specific to youth culture or perhaps chatrooms on the internet as well.its decipher not descipher please dont destroy english language
