Here in latin america Turkish writers and poets are Unknown unfortunately! (as a whole) but I would love to read Turkish Literature and will if I can get any of their works which is quite hard. However, thank you for the list you provided!

MEVLANA HAD BEEN CHOSEN THE UNIVERSAL HUMANIST POET OF THE CENTURY BY THE MEDIA WORLDWIDE IN 1988.

ULYSSES BY JAMES JOYCE ( THE BRITISH ISLES NOVELIST) HAD BEEN CHOSEN THE BEST NOVEL OF THE CENTURY BY TIME MAGAZINE (USA) İN 1999.

You are a brave one posting this!! He was /is very highly respected Turkish philosopher and some has even posted a photo of some of his clothing.

i mourn so much for the literature before republic...its so far to me like some other nations literature....i cant understand language though im able to read arabic...just some of it...its so stupid to feel urself stranger to ur own literature ...

no nation lived this bfor im sure...for example eevry english can understand shakespeare but i cant understand the great poets of 17th centure ...

its never taught now ottoman or old turkısh literature if you dnt choose to study turkish literature at university

and we thınk turkısh literature is just formed after republic

iy got worse lately

I am studying engineering,
but my hobby is Turkish literature and world literature...
Everybody mostly is learning the Turkish literature detailed in the faculty of literature, university in Türkiye...You are right...
