You forget to tell us how big this erect christmas tree with lights on and impending balls is???? An impressive 6´ or a teeny weeny 2´6"?? (unless you live in a house where you have an open ceiling then you could have a very impressive 8´ 
Sorry to disappoint - I only have a small-ish house, and as I rent a room out it makes my living space even smaller.........so once erected, the tree is 3´6"

So I´m not the only one according to thehandsom who has lived a sheltered life. Also, Bod informed us today he will be hanging his balls on his erected tree.

That will happen this evening - I hope
It might not because my girlie and I are going to the xmas market in Manchester and might be late getting in. Plus she spent most of the night in hospital with pains in her side which was diagnosed as a cracked rib........so hanging balls on the erect tree might not be her idea of fun today!

Cracked rib? OMG Bod, control yourself a tad more next time you try to erect something! 
I´m going to do Xmas shopping this weekend. Most probably we´ll have to go to Enniskillen to do that. UK is way cheaper than Eire plus they have a bigger choice of brands...

Yes - I think a little more care may be needed on the rug
