Just in case you really don't know what it is, and would like to know:

It's not really healthy, also known as 'yağlı un hamurişi' It is special for İzmir and surroundings and I love it for breakfast with tea

It looks like poğaça. Or is it rather a kind of börek?

No it is not poğaça and it doesnt taste like it either.. Poğaça is more like 'normal' bread hamuru, but boyoz is made of something like milföy/yufka. It also doesn't taste like börek (though you can buy boyoz filled with cheese, ıspanak), but Id rahter compare it to börek than poğaça

Its really filling. Actually Id mostly compare it to a round croissant, but then made of thinner layers and not sweet but salty I cant do better than this Come to İzmir, its sold in any fırıncı and gevrekçi. From the (small) gevrekçis you can actually buy them with a (hard)boiled egg and pepper.
