I have been trying to understand the "Garfield" cartoon on the comic page and I think there is a spelling mistake in the first part.......

Can someone who speaks good Turkish please take a look and see if there is a spelling error or whether I am just not understanding properly. Thanks!

I didn't notice. Maybe I missed, but where do you think there's a mistake?

Not according to the dictionary......
It should be sarımsak
Note ım not

Or are they alternative spellings?

This time both of you are correct

Sarımsak and sarmısak are both correct like sahlep and salep.

Bod do not be
We all made mistakes (remember?) and learn from them.
If we don't make them then will not learn. This is my opinion.
