 Welcome to the site!

She will certainly need a visa to travel before she needs any insurance.  If she has not got that, then there is quite a procedure to do this. Before trying to obtain a visa, she need to make sure she know what the visa requirements are, before she applies.  so contact the relevant embassy first.

If she is travelling to morethan one European country she will need to see what the visa requirements is for each country.

Not sure about life insurance, but it is certainly sensible to have travel insurance.

Feel free to ask any more questions.  Native Turks might be able to give a clear indication of exactly what is required.

She may be confused that sometimes travel insurance covers accidental injury or death while travelling. The benefits are usually listed with the policy. Separate life insurance in my opinion is only needed if you have significant debts, and are worried these may be passed on to your guarantors. Also recommended if you are travelling in high risk areas (like Afghanistan).
