i had a pasta with a delicious turkey sote with domatos sauce... i think i am getting better each day

Awww well done Sui - all men should learn to cook so they are not dependent on their mummys

but but i have a housemate who cooks even better than my mum and then i will marry and she is good at cooking too..so i dont bother to learn

P.S: feminist members of the site..calm down..it was not a sexist post

Yes - indeed they should......
You will notice that the majority of the world's best chefs are male

Yes I do notice - a man's place is definitely in the kitchen

I have no problem with being in the kitchen and doing the cooking.
And I am - *looks down trousers* - definately a man!!!

Tonight I am entertaining some friends. I am making some braised lamb. I'll probably serve it with rosemary potatoes and fresh green beans. There is a lovely bottle of Merlot just waiting to be consumed!!

I wont be late!!! (I will bring my own nut roast as I am a veggie )

YEAH! It would be great to have you and I am very interested in your nut loaf...sounds interesting.

I've had half a bottle of 'shoemaker' merlot tonight......Tesco had it on offer a month or so ago and I can totally recommend it

Offfffff Grrrrrrrrr why is Merlot becoming the red wine version of chardonnay!!! There are so many other wonderful red wine grapes out there!

Sorry, but I like whatever wine is cheap and I am not ashamed!! But I have some Cabernet and Chianti if you prefer.

No no - Merlot is wonderful I was just commenting that everyone seems to drink merlot, cabernet savignon and shiraz wines lately, and tend to ignore the others like tempranillo, muscadelle, pinot noir, melbec etc. Hehe don't worry I am not a wine snob, I just LOVE red wine hehehe!

Today I had a meat and potato pie from the pie shop near to work because I was in school before the children (and therefore the kitchen staff!) have returned......

Seafood Etouffee for lunch!! If you are not familiar with what that is...it is popular in Louisiana. Since Houston is so close, we enjoy a lot of food from there. It is shrimp, and crawfish in a kind of stew with vegetables and potatoes...ummm. It is usually served with rice and corn bread.
