You´re right we should all be very serious and not have fun. Thanks for the reprimand...oh high and mighty mltm!

Bravo, congratulations, I should clap you for your excellent comprehension.

mltm, we used to have fun on this forum. But I guess it is more appropriate for people to cut eachother down and call eachother names. What I said was meant as a joke, sorry if you didn´t get it or if you don´t think its funny but that ALSO is a matter of opinion (which I believe I can still have on this forum, NO?)

After centuries of bad women jokes, I think a few post of bad men jokes (and absolutely not as degradating as many women jokes I´ve heard or read) must be possible. And like GG said: no man protested.

While of course a "man farm" is, hmmmm.... ... inappropriate, it is not comparable to a "woman farm" joke. Because in a system where "woman farms" are a reality (brothels), and women do have a lower social status, and where making fun of women is daily broadcasted by media, and where many kinds of violence against women are commonplace, when one makes fun of women, one is making fun of the class that is oppressed and doesn´t have a public voice. Making fun of men, by women, on the other hand, is like making fun of the upper class, which is safe and secure from any injustices done to them by women anyway.

world and life nicer when man&woman completing each other to be whole instead of to be rival as stay halfswomen without men or men without women,is it possible to live this way,so why we don´t try to understand a bit more instead of looking for each others lesses or faults?

Then, does it mean that, in the forum rules, we say that, you cannot do humiliations and personal attacks except women are allowed to humiliate men because they have been humiliated for centuries?

I don´t think we ever forbid anyone from making fun of women. I agree with Keith, a little bit more tolerance would be nice. Mltm, just look at the "jokes" thread to see how many jokes about women there are.

What would be better is if people learned to lighten up and not take things so seriously!
Cat, I have to say that you have been involved in many of these jokes in the past so now for you to say it is inappropriate.....seems a bit like you are just trying to placate some members.

In general, it would just be nice to see a little more respect and tolerence on the boards.
What continues to amaze me is that it is always the same people that target others and then complain when they receive nastygrams back...

Who´s complaining keith?

Well, I really meant it in an abstract way. Theoretically, it is wrong to villify any group of people, but in practice I think it is not as bad to make fun of men, as it is (especially for men) to make fun of women in certain ways (I´m saying "in certain ways", because there are some things about women that are quite right to make fun of). Maybe ´inappropriate´ was a wrong choice of word. I don´t think of course there is anything wrong with your jokes.
