"Dont mess around up´ does have more than one meaning, with or without capital letters...

I can´t wait to find out what it is!  Unsure

Don´t mess up is something you might say to someone taking an exam, or their driving test.

Don´t mess around is something you might to your partner, not to have an affair, or to naughty children annoying their mother.

ok.. let me put this into an example.. does this make sense if a mother says to her kid :

"dont mess your room up!"

(give it a thought for a second before you read below)

if the answer is yes, i just used "around" instead of "the room".. because sometimes kids dont mess their rooms up only, but they mess around up

I think it is just a matter of lost in translation , and it can not be explained, as I think you do see what you write as correct .

But no it does not work with around and up together next to each other in the sentence... Don´t spend time thinking about why it does not seem to help ..Fact is it does not work   Anyway we know your English is fine ...
