Quoting aiça: mesai - work
bayılmak - to faint
uzanmak - to lie down
üşÃ¼mek - to feel cold |
Mesai is used more like time at work, for example mesai saatleri is working hours, or the times a shop or business is open. We also use it in offices to refer to overtime.

Thank you, Marion. I was aware of the fact that 'mesai' applies to a more specific shade of 'work'. But your explanations are very welcome. It helped me to get the feeling where İ can possibly use it.
