This feels especially awful as my first grandchild was born last Tuesday and I can´t imagine how I would feel if this happened. It´s tragic for everybody concerned and my heart goes out to them.

My grandson is 7 months old now but he had a very severe reaction to his Meningitis C jab a few months ago and ended up in HDU for a few days and had to have a lumbar puncture.  A course of antibiotics managed to do the trick but it was very worrying for a while.  Fortunately my daughter was very vigilant, although once the NHS helpline knew he had just been immunized they assumed he was having a normal reaction and told her not to worry.  She ignored them and took him to the hospital.  I dread to think what would have happened if she hadn´t done that.  He may not be allowed to have his second MC jab . The consultant will decide.

Children can go down hill so quickly.

It is very difficult to know what to say when someone loses a child.  It´s something that no one wishes to contemplate happening to them. An unbearable thought but my thoughts and prayers are with your friends Lesluv.

Cold and lonely. Don´t tell me this miserable eveningblues already starts one month after I came home. I hoped this time I would manage to enlarge my shield against this kind of yearning.
