Tomorrow I am hoping to go and look at canal boats........   Having had a fire at home a few weeks ago and therefore being effectively homeless at the moment, I am thinking I might use the money I get from insurance to buy a boat and move out of the city    | |

To live on a canal boat!  I would love that!  BUt . . . would there be security issues?  Good luck with your search anyway.   | |

Almost bought a Frisco Flyer, but chickened out at the last minute. It´s too hard to compress my posessions into such a small area.   You know wood boats require a tremendous amount of maintenance. You may want to look into that aspect of boat ownership. I did.

Cool....I was looking at getting a sloop to live on. Almost bought a Frisco Flyer, but chickened out at the last minute. It´s too hard to compress my posessions into such a small area.   You know wood boats require a tremendous amount of maintenance. You may want to look into that aspect of boat ownership. I did.    Well that Frisco Flyer looks very small indeed.  Canal boats, on the other hand, can be quite spacious, although never as spacious as a house. | |
