Oyle derinlere dalmısım ki
Cabalamak nafile, kaybolmusum maviliginde
Nefes almak bile son isteğim
Boğulmak varken okyanus gözlerinde...
Hoscakal demeyecegim sana
Kadere bir sans daha verecegim,
Gunun birinde kavusursak eger
Hatırlarsan beni,belki tekrar gülecegim
Zincire vurumluşsa da yüregim umutsuzlar limanında
Sunu asla unutma seni hep sevecegim..

I was lost in such depths that
Struggling is futile, I am lost in your deep blue
While I have breath my last wish
Would be to drown in the oceans of your eyes...
I will not say farwell to you
I will give fate one more chance
If we meet one of these days
You will remember me, maybe I will laugh again
Even if my heart has weighed anchor in the harbour of hopelessness
Never forget this, I will always love you..

Poetry translation works better if done from foreign language to native language, because translation of a poem is like writing a poem, not writing an essay.
BUT I do agree it would be better if Cenk opened a new thread for each new poem... that way we (Ayla, me, anyone else... ) could see what still needs translating and help him out quicker. |
You are right Marion, I agree... it's just that his poems are amazing but people can't actually appreciate them because they are not translated...

You are right Marion but i am writing mostly everyday. so too many poems = too many thread and i think admins wont like them  i am posting my poems in this thread as a "new for one today".. and i am so grateful marion and ayla for translate them.. and catwoman thnk you for your comments and compliment about my poems but my english is not enough to translate them i dont want to lose meaning of sentences.

Gokkusagındaki renkler gibisin
Yesil kadar huzur verici gülüsün
Mavi kadar derin gözlerin
Kırmızı kadar sıcak kalbin..
Yagmur yagar, ardından cıkarsın ortaya
Sanki hayat verirsin tüm dogaya..
Kısa bir süre bile olsa,
Seni gormek, güzelligine bakmak,
Barındırdıgın tüm renkleri hissetmek kadar güzel ne olabilir?
Bilsemde az sonra gideceğini korkmam,
Bilirim cunku tekrar gelecegini,
Gonlume yagan bu yagmur hic bitmesin,
Her sagnak ardından seni gorebileyim..

Oysa, düslerimde gormustum ben mutlulugu,
Kucuk bir cocugun avuclarında sunulmustu gelecegim bana
Soyledım ya sadece bir düstü
Uyandıgımda ise karanlık odamda,
Ne bir cocuk vardı, ne de avuclarında SEN....
