Do turkish men prefer women with make-up (mascara, foundation, lipstick etc....) or without make-up.
My opinion- I have not yet worn make-up with Omer. He loves "natural beauty", or so he claims.

I see Turkish women, and I find them quite beautiful, and wonder what he sees in me without make-up.
 Thoughts?

What does it matter what Turkish men prefer???
If you feel better with makeup, wear it - if not then don't!!!

 Simple really.......

My immediate response- it doesn't matter.
I love being free of make-up. ( I have to dress up an wear make-up for my job) But, when free form (make-up free), in Istanbul, I see so many beautiful women, quite made up. I can't help but wonder if I am attractive without make-up.

Omer says yes.... but I still wonder.

We are much more casual in the USA- I often go out in sweat pants and T-shirt. Unheard of Turkey.

Why all of the discussion? I am preparing to live in Turkey. I think I have to adjust my living styles.

When I was in Turkey it was too hot to wear make-up. It just melted off. I was make-up free all the time and so were most of the other women. Maybe in night clubs people wore some but I didn't see excessive make-up anywhere. Once I was at a pool and my lips, i have large ones, felt dry, so I put on some clear chapstick. There was a group of men next to me that went crazy because I was putting on chapstick. They told me that, that was sexy. Who knows. But I think in general men prefer women to look beautiful naturally. I live in US and many men here prefer minimal to no make-up. I am also from California where natural beauty is praised. | |

I have no problems with make-up, I am NOT against it if it makes one woman feel better and look prettier.
I come from south america where most women wear quite a lot of make up (I'm from Chile) and I do wear it , not a lot but I do and it makes me feel prettier FOR MYSELF not for others ....what I mean to say is :

 - Be yoursel, If you like it DO wear it !!!
-If you prefer to look more "natural" don't but...I WOULD NEVER change it because the man who I am with does not want me to wear it!! if so..I'd tell him to look for a "make-up free" girl then!!

Just try to moderate it because some women wear TOO MUCH and some might look like a w*** you know what I mean.
What do men prefer?? IT'S NOT IMPORTANT ! What counts is what YOU PREFER and how you feel about it...I'd make up the same way in Chile, Turkey , Saudi Arabia or Sudan....
 Dilara.

I am sure I have lots to learn about Turkish culture.....
But I do not understand why a girl worries about what men think about them with or without makeup - and if they are unsure then why don't they simply ask their boyfriend?????

Makeup is to make the wearer feel happier - not onlookers!!!
