Is it just me who thinks this, or is it because as a child you have no notion of the world and of diseases, or has cancer really ´spread´ ? I can count too many people in my environment who gave their last breath fighting it, or who are fighting it now.

So sorry you are having to see so much of this. It hurts to see people you love suffer so much.  Maybe its just that when we get older, we see more sickness and death.

True and not so much for the suffering that we endure from natural disease processes....but the suffering we do at eachothers hands is what is really difficult to see.
