We looked at 6 boats in two different locations........
Most of the day the weather was poor - but every time we got out of the car to look at a boat the weather turned really nasty

The boats were:
1 - very nice but not really suitable for living aboard.  More like a family holiday boat.  Very nice double bed with a post in the corner
2 - obviously been built and fitted out by a family for living aboard.   Some very nice features but a bit tatty (not a problem) but with lots of wasted space like a HUGE kitchen area and an 8 foot section with absolutely no purpose.  But a boat with lots of character.   And the only one I looked at with a full size bath and a washing machine.
3 - shabby but with potential.  The big disadvantage being the the solid fuel stove was part way down the living area which would make having occasional bed space awkward.
4 - very basic - but nice.  I rather liked this boat but had very little scope for having visitors aboard and it had very little storage space.
5 - immediately fell in love with the living area and kitchen.  But then there was a walk-through loo/bathroom to get to the back and the bathroom was tatty and very basic.......not an arrangement I like!
6 - lovely living area and kitchen with a high level oven and microwave.  Very well fitted out but with another walk-through bathroom but much better than the previous boat.   Only 2 real issues with this one.......it was right at the top of my price range and it had no central heating so no heat in the bedrooms.

I saw no boat that I really totally fell in love with
But it has shown me that there may well be a boat out there that I can live on, will fall in love with, and that I can afford - it is just a matter of finding it!!!
