ive been to turkey twice already this year and i go again on 22nd may. people often say to me why not go somewhere for a change . I love the culture and the people they are very friendly and helpful. alot of people i have met have become my second family. this year was the first time in 10 years i went in winter. in alot of ways it was same as being at home not alot to do, but where i live in england people in winter rarely speak never mind smile so i think winter time in turkey is better too.

I am also off to Turkey three weeks on Monday, i will be staying in Bitez but going into Bodrum and Gumbet to meet with friends that i have met there over the last 5 years. I wish i could stay there forever, and get upset every time i leave, its like a second home to me.

I am going to Oludeniz in June for one week only! I wish it was for longer. Ibiza is very cheap for us in England unless you go to a very good hotel. So you dont have to be rich! To travel from England to many parts of Europe is very very cheap as we have several low cost airlines. I went to Italy once for £15 and stayed with my son for 10 days - so only cost me food except I hired a car which cost me a fortune!
I think there is another airline opened up into Istanbul which is much cheaper than BA or Turkish Airlines.

Have a good one everybody and us in the UK and Holland need the sun and the warmth to stay alive

I want to go to Turkey but I havent booked anything as of yet. If I do go I would most likely book a return flight to Istanbul and just use my student loan to see as much of Turkey as is possible in a month (or for however long I go for), I would like to try and 'see it all'. I would go to Pamukkale, Cappadocia, Ephesus, Manavgat, Patara (18kms of continuous beach - longest in Europe, Caretta Turtles & ancient ruins), the Church on Akdamar Island in Lake Van, etc....
