Yes, exactly. You can't have both a question word (eg. ne) and "mi" in a sentence. The "mi" is added so that you know it is a question.

MI is what we call it in English 'yes or no questions'
The answer should be either yes,or no.

Next time I will do Canli. I just thought homework translations / questions being a nice change for all that 'sevgilim' stuff....
