Well , I don't know how it is for you but I have been a member for 1 and a half year and I cannot spend more than 2 days without checking what's new! and I KNOW I am NOT the only one ...let's face it!

There is ALWAYS something different and interesting to learn or to discuss about!
I like this place a lot and most of the members are very helpful and friendly people!
What do you think?

I have been here around 1 yr and yes it is addictive. It is a great site but lately it has changed with less about Turkey and more and more translation requests (which I dont have a problem with) but it would be nice to hear and learn more about Turkey. And I have noticed a decline in the number of native Turks adding to posts too, which is a shame.

Good poınt Lıbralady!
I have also noticed that many turkish members LEFT the site! It was full of turkish native speakers wiling to help us in the past months ... but most of them are gone and lost interest on the site--- or maybe we made them to lose the interest in being here???... what a pity!
I just hope the ones who remain here do not leave because we NEED THEM! turks on this site are TOO MUCH important for us learners!
I hope they come back!

Make that 1 day and you're nearer the mark for me! I think I am in need of therapy!

Actually I don’t think this is true. I think we are seeing a lot less “spammers” here but the established Turkish members are all still around, or have left for different, personal reasons, not been “driven away”!!!

I think many of our regular Turkish classmates tire of translating sms messages after a while and move on to improve their English elsewhere, or just come here now to meet old friends – maybe that is what you mean?

I mean that hardly any Turkish members add to posts when questions are asked about Turkish related customs, culture, geography etc - whether they have left the site or not I dont know. I just know that when I joined this site there was a lot more activety from Turkish Members and as for spam, I find no difference. It is not something that bothers me anyway. Everyone gets an answer.
