Well , I don't know how it is for you but I have been a member for 1 and a half year and I cannot spend more than 2 days without checking what's new! and I KNOW I am NOT the only one ...let's face it!

There is ALWAYS something different and interesting to learn or to discuss about!
I like this place a lot and most of the members are very helpful and friendly people!
What do you think?

I have been here around 1 yr and yes it is addictive. It is a great site but lately it has changed with less about Turkey and more and more translation requests (which I dont have a problem with) but it would be nice to hear and learn more about Turkey. And I have noticed a decline in the number of native Turks adding to posts too, which is a shame.

Good poınt Lıbralady!
I have also noticed that many turkish members LEFT the site! It was full of turkish native speakers wiling to help us in the past months ... but most of them are gone and lost interest on the site--- or maybe we made them to lose the interest in being here???... what a pity!
I just hope the ones who remain here do not leave because we NEED THEM! turks on this site are TOO MUCH important for us learners!
I hope they come back!

Actually I don’t think this is true. I think we are seeing a lot less “spammers” here but the established Turkish members are all still around, or have left for different, personal reasons, not been “driven away”!!!

I think many of our regular Turkish classmates tire of translating sms messages after a while and move on to improve their English elsewhere, or just come here now to meet old friends – maybe that is what you mean?

I mean that hardly any Turkish members add to posts when questions are asked about Turkish related customs, culture, geography etc - whether they have left the site or not I dont know. I just know that when I joined this site there was a lot more activety from Turkish Members and as for spam, I find no difference. It is not something that bothers me anyway. Everyone gets an answer.

I think TC is more addictive to women than men as women are naturally more communicative (choosing words carefully)than men I have been a member for over a year and I don,t think I login as often now as I used to.

No I agree with you here Joey (not about girls who like to "communicate")....I do not come on here as often as I did when I first joined.

I agree that the emphasis of the site seems to be more towards translations than general chat about Turkey. More general Turkish topics please!!

Addictive? This site? Nooooo, almost all day down and constantly looking if it was back again. But an addict, me?

Well I used my time in a good way: I worked for 6 hours on my notes of my Turkish classes here in Holland. Finally they are sorted and on the computer.

Well i can say, i've been a member of this class for almost a year and i really open this site coz im determined to learn turkish language. I go directly to the lessons here coz nobody teaches me and learn only this thru self-study and in-between my job. Honestly, i also want to see and talk to my friends here who in one way or another, help me in learning.

seriously thought, thats a good question. What does an English person look like.I mean i know its hard and probably foolish to generalise but it would be fun to see what everyone can come up with.
