Two simple questions
|

That's why I am starting a new thread concerning the thread locked by admin or moderator, "important!!!", I would like to ask two simple questions;
- Dear members, when any thread is locked for any reason do you ever feel as if you were insulted, or aren't we able to keep discussing anything unless any moderator reveals s/his stick? As far as I can see some moderators take part in such arguments (including the above mentioned locked thread) and lock the thread whenever s/he likes. I don't think it is fair.
- Let's assume Turks slaughtered more than 1.5 Armenians. A simple question crosses in my mind; why didn't Turks do that when they were more powerful both financial and military wise, but in 1915 while fighting in lots of fronts, if they had such an intend?
PS I dont have an intend to start a new argument concerning the subject. I just wanted to ask a simple question. If you intend to broach the discussion again beware of the moderator's stick.

Ok,to answer the first question,
Yes,i do feel that way when someone delete my post,as if someone was shhh me,or what i say is not good enough to be heard !
None would like that,not even Mods.
For your second question,what i know that,in this period of time,there wasn't 1.5 Armenians living in Türkiye to start with.
so how come you can kill 1.5 Million of them ?!

No. I have mentioned the reason before.To understand the question properly you should know some history. Anyway, let me clarify that part; The Ottaman government was fighting against in different fronts against the enemy; against The British and the French in Çanakkale(almost 500 thousand soldiers lost their lives from both sides. This number can show how destroying the war was for both sides), and also in some other fronts in the east. And the Ottoman goverment was very weak both financial and military wise at that time.

now i understand ur question..as why not at another point in history when they were stronger..well yes it is annoying when threads get closed but sometimes people do take things so far out of context that it is necessary having said this,yes i find it aggravating.
in regards to the second point, there are always two sides to a story..parts of both are true..i think the numbers are exaggerated as always to draw attention.but as to why it wasn't a another point in time when turkey was stronger i dont know...thats the equivalent of questioning why america gave iraq weapons and then went to war saying they had 'weapons of mass destuction'...illogical really..

That's true. One side claims; you killed. The other side claims; we didn't kill.
Can you substantiate your claims? eee.. my grandparents said so... any other proves ? eee... I heard ....
Every single country has its own archieve for any period in history. If not satisfied with one's, go and try the other's, and compare them in the end.
I think unfortunately people in this century live with what they have heard.
