Just wanted to see why you all are interested in learning Türkçe. I, myself, am the son of Turkish-born parents, but because I was born and raised in Canada, I never learned the language. But I'm thinking of moving to Turkey, so I figured it's time I learnt the language (plus I'm going to have to do my military service there, so I better know the language!)

Hey. Yeah im kinda in the same position (apart from the army service). My dad is Turkish and my mother English, and was born and raised in England. I only know basic Turkish and it's hard not being able to have a proper conversation with my Grandparents on my fathers side. Me and my mother are also moving to Turkey in June once I have finished my exams, so i really could do with learning the language. I know lots of people there that talk English, my boyfriend and my dad especially, but it's not nice to be able to communicate with other family members and people who live there!!!!

I'm here because I'd like to learn Turkish , but it's impossible right now because I'm too busy . I love learning foreign languages and I always wanted to learn something completely different, so Turkish fits! And of course the most direct (important) reason is that my boyfriend is Turkish.

Do I have to have a reason?
