I have a question...I don't know much about Turkish culture but I would like to learn a little bit more.
I have a friend who is with a Turkish guy and she says that they are boyfriend and girlfriend but he says that they are special friends. What exactly does special friends mean in Turkey? is that what they call "boyfriend and girlfriend"? does it mean best friends? or something else?

if he don't call her his girlfriend but calls her his special friend then i think three things...
a)he is with other girls
b)he doesn't want her to be his girlfriend
c) they do 'things' together but are not together
just my opinion and i might be wrong but usually they are quick to say you are my girlfriend rather than special friend......

If I was going to be really smutty I would say 'they are doing the washing by hand'

By the way, the cleaning the silver comment moved from one thread to another and I was not referring to anything smutty then........... aenigma?? more to do with being bored with childish threads
