Well I love Turkey...but I have to say my vote is for Argentina. Love the people, food, culture, language, and you can't miss getting almost every type of geographic setting to fit your taste from tropical rain forest to arctic glaciers and everything in between.

Close second would be Brazil and then somewhere later down the list Chile because of the blooming desert. Very, Very Very beautiful also the Andes are a sight to behold.

Well ok...Peru too...nothing compares to Machu Pichu...and then Mexico because of food, culture, history...ok...If I start to think about each country I have visited I could list them all for something that I loved there.

Also, I haven't been to any country in Africa yet...so I guess I better reserve my vote until after my travels are completed!

Happy voting folks!

I love Türkiye but of course ı vote for my own country, Republic of the Philippines, also called as the Pearl of the Orient Seas. It is composed of 7,100 islands with very picturesque sceneries, peak mountains, best beaches (Boracay in the south region), generous people, bountiful tropical fruits which we export all over the world. Despite several calamities we encountered, still the Philippines is a very beautiful country.

After looking at the results page, I don't think that this poll means anything at all. Not to offend anyone, but the majority of these countries at the top have many flaws. I think it's more of a popularity contest where people vote from their home country. Hm?
(how is it even possible for North Korea to be listed? )

I dont think there is ONE most beautiful country as many countries have their own charm and splendid sights. For me, my favourite "place" (not country) is at the top of Mont Blanc where you can see the alps in every direction. Switzerland one way, France another and Italy also.

Regarding this web page, I don't think it would be a exactly numbers, perhaps one person can vote twice for your country or only vote because it remaind a person.

Well, Talking about beautiful countries. I haven't been in Turkey but I can recognize that it is a Çok Çok güzel ülke!!

I think culture (make a country even more beautiful, so it is the case of this country that has a lot old and historical places, that they can speak by themselves.

nother thing that make a country beautiful of course it is its landscapes, weather, people.,food, old traditions etc. I agree that is beautiful.

Butttt MEXICO is beautiful as well!!!

My country has many culture example: mayas, azthec, etccc.. places where they lived, there are a lot archeological areas that show how they were.

We have deserts, jungle, seas, beaches .. we have wonderfull landscapes.

On the other hand we have delicious food. Well, people who have come here can give their opinion about all the things I'm writting here.

I must say that Peru is the most beautiful country I have visited, Mavy... Actually the geographical variety that is found in Peru is overwhelming, from the pacific ocean, to the desert, the Amazonas jungle and not the least the Andean mountains...Peru has it all! ...and now we are only talking about geography. The food, the culture, the people, you name it - I love it! ...though the poverty, the cruel injustice and the exploitation that exists in Peru is tragic and awful!

...but of course a piece of my heart belongs to Turkey and Sweden as well!

Tenerife is one of the Canary islands, it might be Spanish territory but if you ask them if they are Spanish or Canarian they will say Canarian everytime.Thats like saying Scottish and english people are the same
and Tenerife is way above the level of many mainland Spanish resorts, Costa del Crime, Majorca etc etc

Are you serious? Majorca is the most beautiful of the Spanish islands if you stay away from the east coast built up resorts. Tenerife? The only reason to go there is the winter sunshine - it's barren rock with hotels and apartments plonked on it!!

For me, my choices would be Cuba, Turkey and Kenya awwwww memories

And... I hate to nit-pick, but why is this thread in the Turkish language forum

i dont know why this is in the language forum either....but tenerife has lots to see underground caverns, the infamous Icod, old traditional buildings, the street of balconies, mount teide, a national park, local markets, you just have to know where to look and move out of the tourist resorts ..and I have to say that Majorca was quite possibly the worst palce i have ever gone on holiday as well as one of the dirtiest...

I haven't gone to any of those resort places really, but in track of the best holiday place I'd probably say Gallarate in Italy by the Como lake, which is a really gorgeous place. I'm reluctant to say but I also liked Miami a lot
Anyway, this is getting off-topic.

Well I don't know what the best country in the world is...when i've seen them all, i'll get back to you lol

I have also traveled A LOT! but I have great memories from every place.....England, Greece, USA, Spain (Canary Islands too though one was closer to Africa), France etc etc

Anway i'm glad this thread has come up.....it helps me decide which countries are definatly worth travelling to, though my plans have been changed a little...someone will be coming with me

I was quite suprised that Dubai hasn't been said yet..well actually places that should be named that haven't....Egypt, Iraq (obviously not right now but it was such a beautiful country with lovely people), Croatia.....Oh I dunno, just thought these places will be worth mentioning plus a load more but I just can't be bothered right now lol I'll get back to you on those too

My vote of course is for MEXICO LINDO Y QUERIDO!!
As Guzel Latina told, we have everything, friendly people, old traditions, the best beaches in the world: as Cozumel, Zihuatanejo, Cancun; a very rich culture: aztec, mayan, purepechas, tzotziles, huicholes, etc; our foods are delicious, our music made you feel our spirit, ooh MEXICO LINDO Y QUERIDO!!!
Do you have a doubt about my words? I invite you to see this beautiful video:

Mexico en la piel

But of course Turkiye also have very beautiful places and wonderful buildings, i want to go to Turkiye this year!! Insallah!!

Tell me, how many of you who have visited a country have seen the whole country??

I still think it is a "place" within that country. I have been to Italy something like 10 times, skiing and to Lake Garda. Except the peace and tranqulity of being in the mountains, Lake Garda has to be one of the most beautiful places I have seen.

I have travelled around most of France and the most beautiful part I have come across (except Mont Blanc) was Lake Annecy.

Cuba holds special memories for me, we travelled the length and breadth of it - I loved the people although Havana was scruffy but with that it had it's charm.

+1 I agree, seems like it just depends on the memories for me, there is no one special place, but there is always one thing that makes a place special. Can't really vote cuz I haven't been all over the world..... but maybe someday
