Quoting qdemir:
No. You aren't getting it.
I have asked the above question concerning the motivation.
I am not happy and proud of those newspapers, either.
I never buy them. |
So why are you recommending them?

I am not recommending. I am just offering alternatives.
I bet those, you have classified as porn-oriented, will get much more hits than others on here.

so why not just go with the flow. let's put porn to every newspaper, to make it easier for those interested and everybody else, why not.
you call it alternatives? then why not offer some real porn sites, just for motivation?
I know qdemir, that these newspapers are commonly accepted in turkey, you might have not thought much before posting them here. but please, I dont' want to see ads of those things here.

robyn, you must not know that hurriyet, milliyet and the others aren't tabloids. they are something like bbc or guardian in britain. that's the problem. to make it even more spicy, every saturday, there are special additions of turkish newspapers where you get some pages of real hard-core porn with the paper. quite a treat.
i bet turkish tabloids are much worse then british, regular turkish newspapers are worse then american tabloids. that's the fuss.

Are you serious, catwoman?
Have you visited those web sites?
You won't see anything pornographic on their web sites.

I completely agree Robyn - I dont like or read these newspapers but they are common in the UK and every other european country I have visited. To call Turkey "despicable" because they have them too is unjust, and to blame Qdemir for posting links to them seems unjust too.
Blame the newspaper editors or owners. Incidently are pictures of breasts porn? It seems pretty mild compared to most of the disgusting stuff on the internet. They are sexist yes, but porn??

I support Robyn , these kinds of newspapers are EVERYWHERE not just in Turkey , there is a chilean megazine
www.lacuarta.cl which is famous for providing porn material and it has a section called "The Sexy Bomb" with naked women.
I do not buy it (because I am not interested in seeing naked women!) but one of my family members does and I cant blame him! how could I? hes a man come on!
There are plenty of alternatives to inform yourself...and you are free to choose WHICHEVER you want or feel like...so what's all the fuss about???!!!
Porn is everywhere ...take ir or leave it , as simple as it sounds , nobody forces you to read what you do not want to.

i don't think we can blame the owners when they are providing some people with what they want..supply and demand really..
the problem is that its socially acceptable and a societal norm rather than the fact its there..
i just think that its sad that children are exposed to it all (nudity etc etc from such a young age).where has the 'age of innocence' gone?
